Jack P. Allison son of Elmer J. Allison of Stromsburg was promoted to specialist second class at Tokyo Army Hospital. He serves in the neuropsychiatric service after entering the Army in 1948 following Stromsburg High School. He arrived in the Far East in May 1955 from Fort Lawton Washington and his wife Reiko accompanies him in Japan.

Walter D. Buchholz aged 71 died of a heart attack likely Friday night at his Osceola home. Sister Lela Sprague found him Saturday afternoon after failing to reach him by phone. Survivors include five sons Lonnie Arthur De Loss Eugene Chester and two daughters Freda Pittman Bonnie Gustafson. Services were held at the Osceola Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
