Don Jarmin Returns to Shelby After Army Discharge
Don Jarmin came back to Shelby Sunday from Brigham City Utah after nine months in the U S army and received an honorable discharge. He plans to enter defense work soon. H B Shaw sold a northeast Shelby residence to Emmett Beebe for 900 dollars, with the Beebes occupying the home this winter. Staff Sergeant and Mrs Richard Elliott of North Carolina visited their Shelby relatives before returning to Idaho and North Carolina. Mr and Mrs Nick Gondringer moved from the farm to a residence in northwest Shelby.

The Woman`s Society of Christian Service postpones its meeting to April 22 at Mrs Leona Dawes home. A weekend rain visited the community while oats and barley crops show partial seeding. Osceola Local Farmers Union met at Miller schoolhouse with good attendance though several slated speakers were absent due to mumps. August P Anderson reported on the State Convention. Next meeting set for June. Tech Sergeant Frederick McFadden, back from South America, visited relatives Friday.
