A new speed law passed by the unicameral legislature and sent to the Governor sets Nebraska’s daytime limit at 60 miles per hour and 50 miles per hour at night with track speed at 40. Mrs John Colson dies at 78 in Omaha area
Mrs. John Colson, 78, Omahan died Sunday night after pneumonia contributed to her death. She came from Sweden at age seven, lived in Galesburg Illinois, later moved to Stromsburg Nebraska area where she and her husband ran a hotel and clothing store before retiring. Survivors include John Colson and numerous children in Nebraska and nearby towns. Funeral services were held in Stromsburg on Wednesday.

Contour farming schools scheduled in county
Ed Doll, extension specialist, leads a two day series on April 14 and 15 through Farm Bureau Extension Service and vocational agriculture to teach contour line layouts for pasture furrows and farming. Mrs. Fred Smith and children returned to Wisconsin after time with relatives in Merrick county.
