Engines in a bad collision at Jones Point
A collision occurred Saturday afternoon at Jones Point when an O and W freight engine collided with a West Shore engine left on the main track. The O and W engine was derailed while the West Shore engine, badly battered, remained on the rails and moved off under its own steam. The enginemen escaped injury. The crash was said to have been caused by the switch engine being in two blocks while signals were set against it.
