Western Washington timber agencies in every county are augmenting fire crews as fires threaten valuable timber stands. Youth Falls to Death Climbing Colorado Mountain
The body of John Fitzgerald, 20, of Tulsa Oklahoma, was found at the foot of the Third Flatiron near Boulder. He had left a picnicking party to climb the Flatiron on Green Mountain and apparently fell about 75 feet. Fitzgerald was enrolled in the University of Colorado summer school.
