State probes drop in valuations across Nebraska counties

Nebraska officials report a statewide decline in property valuations totaling 7.27 million dollars from last year across Chase Keya Paha Crea nt Loup Hayes Nemaha Sherman and other counties. Despite an agreement to hold valuations steady, 1620 acres disappeared from tax rolls and 55 more motor cars were listed. Loup shows a 21 percent value drop despite more acres. Keya Paha drops from 11 470 to 456 004 acres. Grant notes more cattle but lower value. Hayes real estate down 18.72 percent. Rings of ripe olives decorate and flavor the chicken soup.
