A pen friend of Aleris Hauschen, a registered nurse in Minneapolis, John Frederick James Kinred of Brisbane, Australia, visits Aurora at Chris Hauscher's home. Kinred left Australia July 29 aboard the Marine Phoenix and arrived in San Francisco August 17, then went to Minneapolis to meet Hauschen for the first time since correspondence began. He served four years in the Royal Australian Air Force during the last war. This is his first visit to the United States.
