Miss Hueston Weds Dr. Grover C. Pritchett in Quiet Home Ceremony

Miss Madge Hueston and Dr. Grover C. Pritchett were married Wednesday afternoon at the Hueston home on Cath Spring Creek Road in a small ceremony attended by immediate family. Rev. W. E. Snvider officiated, the couple planning to reside in Dana, Indiana after October 1.

Meth odist Conference appoints district ministers in Rushville

The Indiana M E Conference in Rushville closed with praise for a strong meeting. Bishop Anderson announced Vincennes district appointments including W S Biddle as superintendent and numerous pastors such as F M Greene, R B A Ragsdale, J H Furry, Oscar Jean, and A J Spaulding across towns like Bicknell, Elnora, Dugger, Shoals, and Terre Haute Heights. Ministers praised Rashville for hospitality.

English Back 10 Jail in Vincennes Case Reignites Bond Issue

W P English known as Tom Cat was released on 1000 bond furnished by Chrise Ehart and jailed again Saturday. He was originally arrested for assault and battery with intent to kill Robert Wright a Black man of Washington. The reason for Ehart’s re-arrest remains unclear but bondsmen feared his mind might be affected. He was located at Tom Cat’s barber shop on West Swarteel avenue by patrol officers.

Revival at the Christian Church Promotes Jno T Brown

Evangelist Jno T Brown prepares a revival at the Christian church with Mrs Brown assisting in music and personal work. Brown, editor of the Christian Guide and author, has led successful campaigns in Australia New Zealand and Asia, and hopes to start Tuesday next week with a large town chorus and a Junior choir. Brown is in Monmouth Indiana preparing to close there Sunday night.

High School Notes Track Changes And Plans At Elnora

A Majestic range and three oil stoves were placed in the Domestic Science room and a kitchen cabinet will be added soon. The drill began Monday and will continue monthly under a state law. Sept Amick of the Elnora Schools visited Odon Friday. The Elnora school started Sept 22. The High School baseball team will play Plainville at South Side park Saturday afternoon. Plans are under way for a Hallowe en festival October 31 with arrangements to be announced. Sophomore officers: Dott Skemp president Fred Williams vice president Eschol Freed secretary treasurer.

Tom English arraigned in Knox County circuit court on a charge of assault and battery with intent to kill a Black man named Robert Wright at Vincennes. He was released on a $1000 bond last Wednesday.

Autumn Child Bechanan Dies After Typhoid at Five

Autum n Bechanan, daughter of Rev Charles H Bechanan and Bradie Lane Bechanan, died September 24 1913 aged 5 years 6 months and 15 days after a three week illness from typhoid fever. Funeral services were to be held at the parents home with burial at Walnut Hill cemetery. The obituary recalls the family sorrow and faith as the community grieves this early death.

Loogootie Glassworkers Surpass Washington Greys In Long Game

At Woodlawn Park Sunday the Loogootie Glassworkers defeated the Washington Greys in a tense eleven inning contest. Williams pitched brilliantly striking out fifteen with no walks, while Britton of Washington also excelled, fanning eight as the Glassworkers pulled away late for the win.

FourYearOld Girl Killed by Automobile in Downtown

Maury Peterson, a four year old, was killed in Linton Tasalay when struck by an automobile driven by former Senator Oscar Bland. Bland, Harry Pope, and Amos Hattery were returning from Bloomington. the children were in the street. The car reportedly traveled about five miles per hour. A warrant was served on Bland as police prepared for examination.
