Two Men Injured By Silo Collapse In Wind Storm

Death of Plainville Resident William H. Fletcher at 57
William H. Fletcher of Plainville died at his home Friday at age 57. Born near Connersville Indiana March 15 1858 he was the last surviving child of John and Mahaley Fletcher. He married Mary Catherine Herring September 21 1881 and leaves a widow. He joined the Christian church in Plainville and the Knights of Pythias. Funeral services were led by Rev Claris Yeuell and burial was in Plainville cemetery.

An outbreak of diphtheria in Linton has led officials to shut down theatres, schools, and Sunday schools. Three children died within 36 hours and many more are ill.

Civil War veteran J H Hogatt died at his son John Hogatt's home near Weales Creek on Sunday afternoon from paralysis. Born 1839 in Daviess county near Eaglesville, he would have been 76 in September. He had three marriages and multiple children, lived in Daviess county until 1882 then Missouri and returned in 1912. Funeral Tuesday at 10 am at Weales Creek Baptist church with Rev. E O Jones, burial in adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Drucilla Clark Dies After Long Faithful Life
Mrs. Drucilla Clark, age 74, died last Saturday at her home near St. Michael's church due to a complication of diseases. Born May 1841 she married Andrew J. Clark in 1856 and had twelve children, six surviving: Isaac Alexander William Dennis Andrew and daughter Elvira Bright of Cincinnati. She joined the Concord Christian church as a girl and was buried Monday at Pleasant Grove cemetery after funeral services led by Rev. C. H. Buchanan.
