A four year old boy from Madison was sent from a farm near the city to Grand Rapids Michigan by his mother and half sister. He had lived with Mr. and Mrs. Harper since age two and played with kittens and chickens. The boy sobbed as he left the farm and clung to Mrs. Harper before boarding the train, then slept in her arms on the trip, while the mother returned on the next train.
