Elimination Chapter Scenes and Cemetery Visit
In a rain battered village afternoon Mr. Ransom leaves his room to search the cemetery for Havens graves. He encounters three passersby then finds the silent hillside and the ruined wall at the old burying ground as desolation surrounds him. A sales pitch intrudes with promises of up to date ladies wear in Washington while fragments of a grim burial story surface amid confusion.
