The Democratic ticket wins nationally with Woodrow Wilson and Thomas Marshall likely to carry a large electoral margin. Indiana swings solidly Democratic with Ralston and Beveridge winning statewide, while Knox and Davis County show mixed results. Voter turnout is light in places, duplicates noted in registration, and socialists edge into fourth place in some races.
Early returns show party tallies for governor and presidential electors in Daviess county with figures listed for Overman and Van Buren Township. Official results include party standings and candidate pluralities across counties and states such as New York and North Carolina.
The leading parties deem the county election the cleanest yet with fewer floaters. The new registration law reduced crooked acts by limiting out of town voting, while the corrupt practice act curbed shady transactions. Margaret Ward died after a long illness at her home with her daughter Mrs. D W Hayes. The funeral was held at the U B church with Rev W E Snyder and two visiting ministers. Interment followed at Walnut Hill cemetery beside her husband Philip S Ward. The service honored her devout life and duties to family.
Dr Ira Bowman of Raglesville takes over Dr T B Rankin’s office and dwelling on Spring Street in Odon. Rankin, in practice about twenty years, will relocate south for the winter. Bowman will practice in Odon at once.

Raymond Jennings Dunham, ten year old son of Mr and Mrs D B Dunham, died Friday at home in Indianapolis of tetanus. He was born August 14 1902 and was 10 years 2 months 16 days old. He leaves his parents and two sisters. Body brought from Indianapolis to Odon Saturday night. Funeral at James McCoy home Sunday at 2 30 p m Rev Lester ME church in charge. Burial Walnut Hill cemetery.
The Terre Haute Pure Milk and Ice Cream Co renews its lease on the Odon Creamery for a new year. Representatives J E Ramsey Fred Shaffer and Terman Horcall traveled to Terre Haute last week to close the deal. Horral, who has managed the creamery for two years, will continue as manager.
Ramonia Irene Perry aged one, daughter of Mr and Mrs Logan Perry, died of catarrhal pneumonia at home near Eaglesville Sunday night. The body was shipped to Robinson Illinois Monday and then moved to Oblong where funeral services and burial were held Tuesday.
