The Southern Indiana Fox Hunters Association met at Rockwood on Oct 25 with over 1300 attendees and a barbecue. Daviess county mourns prominent citizen Jabez A. McCord who died at his home near Alfordsville after a carbuncle on the wrist led to a long illness. A former sheriff of Daviess and five year Reeve township trustee, McCord was 64. Doctors urged arm amputation but his strength failed and death came after a period of extreme decline.
