Laycock Company Placed In Receiver’s Hands
In Indianapolis, Judge Carter appointed Charles E. Coffin of Mutral Trust as receiver for the Laycock Manufacturing Company after a suit alleging temporary funds shortfall. The company with $100000 initial common stock and $50000 preferred stock now shows assets of $1066000 and debts of $360000, with $150000 due in May and June. The filing argues creditor risk and potential piecemeal sale but notes the business as a going concern capable of continued operation under court control.
