Minister Known Here Killed in Auto Crash Near Youngstown
Rev Morton Hobson, a well known local minister, died last Thursday in an automobile accident near Youngstown Ohio. His son Win ton Hobson was injured as the car overturned in a freshly graveled stretch. The two were returning from Youngstown to Newton C where Mrs Hobson had received medical treatment. The funeral was held at Fairview chapel east of Bedford. Rev J T Hobson, a former pastor here, is his brother.

Thirty-Eight Pass April Examination
The County Superintendent completed grading for April teachers license exam. Seventy applicants took the test. thirty-eight earned licenses and twenty-two failed. Ten manuscripts were sent to the state superintendent with no reports yet. The next license exam is scheduled for May 25 at the Superintendent's office.

Reverend Joel Ellis died at his home in Wright township near Midland at 9 30 Tuesday morning. He was 77 years old and had suffered ill health for some time. He was born in Stockton township and spent his life in the area. A former Baptist minister he later engaged in farming and politics and was highly respected.
