Seven autos carrying Jasonville business leaders and the Commercial Club visited Odon Monday evening unannounced. The party traveled in twenty six cars from Jasonville to Linton Bicknell Vincennes Washington and other cities scattering advertising material and banners promoting Jasonville’s uptown status and the aim of putting Greene county town on the map.
A Norussel digger at White River near Hindostan Falls found a large ball pearl weighing eighty and a half grains. He sold it to William E. Hitch, a Wheatland pearl buyer, for 1752 dollars. The pearl is described as fine azure cream and is the largest price pearl found at the facility in some time.

Pershing and Matthews former general store assets moved to Odon from Linton and Mt Olive. E Roush acquired stock and the new Pershing building will open tomorrow. Vernon Skemp joins Pershing as salesman as Mrs Pershing is welcomed back to Odon business.
Indiana Prohibition convention opened in Indianapolis with F W Lough as chair. Ransom Pope of Elnora was the district representative nominee and district chairman. Delegates to the Atlantic City national convention were named for the second district along with the district committee setup.
Mrs H. H. Browning and her daughter Ruby have come back from Washington where they visited her son Ray Brown and family and Mrs Barbry Smith, in a short family trip event.
Anthony E. Hert a former farmer of Baker township Martin county was sentenced in Indianapolis to two years in Leavenworth federal prison. He forged a pension affidavit and offered a federal agent fifty dollars to drop the investigation.
A. M. Ragsdale of Indianapolis urged revising the state law requiring bodies of those dying from infectious diseases be buried within twenty four hours. He argued embalmed remains pose no danger. The Indiana Funeral Directors Association adopted the resolutions at its Denison hotel meeting.
