Baer Cowie Board Approves 375000 Grade School Plan
The Baer Cowie advisory board authorized 37500 to build a new consolidated grade and high school northwest of Montgomery on the fire-destroyed site. Tragic Farm Accident Involving Stee le Township Father and Son
Walter J. Briles a 38 year old Steele township farmer died after his 15 year old son Charles accidentally discharged a No 16 shotgun on the Kit England farm east of Plainville. The barrel exploded while the boy was showing the gun to his father eight feet away. Coroner A H Holder reported the hammer may have entangled in clothing and Briles died within minutes.
