Aged Olive Sims Dies in Burns City
Mrs Olive Maryfield Sims died at her home in Burns City last Sunday after a long illness of general debility. Born September 30 1836 in Jackson County she was 86. She married Alfred Sims in 1857 and is survived by daughter Mrs Charles Henson and two brothers John and George Maryfield. Burial was beside her husband in Burns City Cemetery with Rev Robinson officiating.

Ritter Hurt When Car Crashes Through Barbed Wire Fence
Charles Ritter son of James Ritter from Elmora area was seriously injured last Monday when his car left the road and struck a barbed wire fence. He was taken to a nearby farmhouse for care as doctors from Newberry treated him. He is twenty one years old. Relatives in this city include Mrs Sears and Mr Carl Sears from New Britain.

Valda Sims v Willis Overton damages awarded in breach claim
The breach of promise suit was tried in Washington this week. The jury returned a verdict for Valda Sims granting 3000 dollars after about twenty minutes deliberation. A paternity case against Overton involving Miss Sims was settled last week with 500 dollars paid to the girl.
