John Ketchem Farmer Dies After Long Illness in Township
John M Ketchem a well known farmer of Stadison township died at his home four miles east of the city at 7 50 last Monday after years of ill health including cancer of the face He lived on the same farm all his life Born Feb 1 1645 he was 72 3 13 at death Surviving are his widow three sisters nine children and sixteen grandchildren The funeral was held at Olive church Wednesday at 10 00 with Rev Chas Coleman officiating Burial followed at the local cemetery

ViGuid of Tuberculosis Edward Starling Dies at 29
Edward Starling a farmer four miles northeast of the city died Monday after an illness of over a year from tuberculosis of the lungs. He leaves a wife and a five month old child, plus his parents five sisters and three brothers. Funeral was held Tuesday at his residence with Rev. M. P. Herron officiating. Burial in Walnut Hill cemetery.

Five Year Old Severely Cuts Finger On Lawn Mower
Harry Lee Cooper, son of Mr and Mrs Marshall Cooper of south Spring street, nearly severed the end of a finger while playing with a lawn mower Tuesday. The injury was dressed and is healing. he is expected to recover in a few days. Miss Lois Whiteside of Indiana Power and Water Co. was called to Bicknell this week to work in the main office, with Miss Pauline Laper filling in.
