Mrs. Wm. Malone of this township died Saturday at Linton hospital after complications following an operation earlier in the week. Born September 2 1894 in Green County she was 22. She leaves a husband M D Malone a son Ernest parents Mr. and Mrs. W E Morgan and siblings. Funeral at Pleasant Hill U B church with Rev. Ernest Roberts. Burial Walnut Hill cemetery.

Large mushroom found north of the city weighs nearly four pounds
Ernest Roberts found a giant mushroom in the woods north of the city last Friday. It stood twelve inches tall with a circumference of about twenty two and three quarter inches and weighed three pounds fourteen ounces.

Tuberculosis Death of Young Bogard Farmer
Robert Fulkerson a 22 year old farmer from Bogard township died yesterday morning at his mother's home near Epsom. Pulmonary tuberculosis was the cause after years of illness. He was unmarried son of the late James Fulkerson and is survived by his mother and two sisters. Funeral at New Bethel Church Sunday at 10 with Rev P F Feut in charge. Burial at the New Bethel cemetery.

Indiana firm seeks Knox county franchise for power line routes
The Indiana Power and Water Co requested a franchise from Daviess county commissioners to use highways bridges and watercourses for poles wires and power distribution in Plainville and to supply electricity countywide. A final hearing set for June 5 allows taxpayers to protest. Knox county issued a parallel franchise. Bloomfield firm seeks approval to buy Vincennes and other electric light properties to merge into a single system and finance with bonds stocks and notes totals. H. L. Clark serves as president with Bernard Korbly handling the petition.
