Obituary: Patten Poindexter Dies After Wagon Accident
Patten Poindexter longtime farmer near the city died Saturday night from injuries after a wagon loaded with hay hit a low hanging wire and toppled him. He was born in Noble County near Burns City and survived by a large family including wife Elizabeth and several children. Funeral service was held Tuesday at the Methodist Episcopal church with burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Funeral for Jackson Shaffer Held in Franklin County
Jackson Shaffer died of heart trouble and was laid to rest in Franklin Cemetery after funeral services at Franklin Church. Born July 22 1864 he lived in this county most of his life and left a wife Anna Hubbard four children three grandchildren three brothers and four sisters. He was a Methodist and active in local organizations before moving to Brookville Indiana. Burial followed in Franklin Cemetery with Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and Improved Order of Red Men in charge of the memorial rites.

Charles Myers a farmer aged fifty eight died Sunday afternoon at 1:55 after a week long illness from paralysis. He lived with his sister near Cornettsville and was born September 19 1864 in Daviess county. A United Brethren member, he leaves two sisters Mrs Isaac Williams and Mrs Isaac Boyd. Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Cornettsville church with burial there.

Curtis Bair, formerly of this city, died in Albuquerque New Mexico last Monday from tuberculosis after moving seeking a healthier climate. Born May 1880 in the county, he worked as a railroad bridge superintendent on the Vandalia Railway and left Indiana in 192? to seek treatment. He married Roberta Carmichial in 1922 and is survived by his father John A Bair, a brother D Webster and a sister Ada of Spei terville Indiana, with funeral arrangements by the local Masonic order.
