New Train Schedule Restores South Line Service

The Chicago Minneapolis and St Paul railroad announced a Sunday return of two cancelled southbound trains for Terre Haute passengers. New timetables show trains from Terre Haute to Seymour and Bedford with morning and afternoon departures and corresponding arrivals, while details for Odon are to be released next week.

Mrs Myrtle Stuckey Dies at Loogootee

Mrs Myrtle Stuckey formerly of this community died at her Loogootee home last Monday from pneumonia after nine days illness. Myrtle Bruner Stuckey, daughter of William and Margaret Bruner of Eaglesville, was about 35. She left husband Sherman and daughter Margaret Alice, plus sister Mrs Hubert Myers and brothers Edward and Ralph. A Methodist EpIscopal Church member, funeral at Loogootee M E Church with burial in Raglesville cemetery.

O H S Track Team Planned After Basketball Season

With basketball ended until October first the O H S announces track work will begin when weather allows. This new athletic form invites many athletes to train and compete in a meet later. Opal West 24 urges students to come out for practice and support the team.

Child of Frank Ducharm Dies at Five Months

Lillian Ducharm, five months old and daughter of Frank Ducharm, died last Wednesday at the family home near Plainville. Funeral services were held Thursday with burial at Old Salem cemetery.
