William H Padgett of the Thomas Wirt place near the city died at home after a long illness. Born in Crawford County Indiana in 1845 he was 69. He married Catherine Landers in 1873 and had thirteen children, nine living with his wife. Survived by siblings and many grandchildren, the community mourns his loss. Funeral held at Scotland ME Church led by Rev T W Me lain. Also a local real estate note: thirty acres for sale near Raafine road.
