William B Laycock president of the T B Laycock Manufacturing company dies Monday afternoon at his daughter's home in Indianapolis He was born in Ohio July 11 1829 and moved from Kentucky to Indiana in 1863 later settling in Wilmington Washington Daviess County and finally Indianapolis twenty five years ago advancing to company president and earning local esteem.
At Washington theatre on Monday night a three reel drama titled A Victim of the Mormons prompted two Mormon elders to enter and try to address the crowd. Management refused, leading the elders to distribute church literature from the sidewalk outside the show. The event drew interest though critics said the film did not suit the visiting brothers.
Ben Bough near Antioch and Frank Bogard from Newberry were in the area Friday morning. Mr Paris of Martin County passed through, transporting a load of household goods toward the river bottom. Everett Henderson of Scotland also appeared in the vicinity Friday.
