Margrett L. Rosenberry, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rosenberry, died at home south of the city last Friday, March 11, after about eleven weeks of illness. She would have celebrated a year of life in nine days if she had lived. The funeral was held Saturday at 2 PM from the residence, with Rev. Ernest Roberts officiating. Burial followed at Walnut Hill cemetery.
Born March 11 a daughter to Mr and Mrs 603 Humerickhouse. Miss Maud and Flora Clinton and Walter Clinton visited Washington. James Chestnut family and Mrs Mahala Chestnut visited Eliott Flinn at Edwardsport. John Humerickhouse bought a new Ford. Ethel Hackler visited Jane Bechtel at Odon. Jessie Allen bought Roy Rosenberry’s farm. Rosenberry moving to Ulmois and Allen to new location. Joe Chestnut Bert Roach and Will Humerickhouse to Keller for work Monday. Maud Holstine of Elnora visited her parents Mr and Mrs B Doane. Mrs Orville Overton and daughter Martha visited Maud Clinton. Loveda Swayze from Lafayette visiting mother Mae Swayze. Freedly Cunningham moved from Madison township. James E Gilley from Washington attended teachers institute. Cecil Stuffle family moved to Woodling farm near Center school. Artie Dyal Jr went to Indianapolis. Chester Sims from Washington visited ill father H E Sims. Wirtzel Rosenburg family and P H Dyal visited Charley Smiley’s. James Stuffle in declining health. Dr Anderson of Oden attends him. Mrs Charley Sims and Autrim visited James Evans. Len Ramsey near Oden spent Sunday at Racy Stuckey’s.
The family expresses sincere thanks to friends and neighbors for kindness during the illness and death of Margrett. Special gratitude goes to Rev. Roberts for consolation, the Dyal family, the choir, Poindexter, Roy Rosenberry, and O. O. Hinkle and spouses.
Freshman class of Odon High School surprised Miss Helen Howell with a farewell gathering at her home last Friday. She will move with her parents to Bedford and enroll in the new high school there. The evening featured games music and dancing with marshmallows roasted by the party.
