Arford Sale Draws Crowd as Red Cross Chapter Benefits
A large crowd attended the Arford sale where a sheep donated by Mr. Arford was sold by numbers. Jacob Bechtel drew the sheep and the proceeds, $153.00, were donated back to the Red Cross. The infant of Alfred LuAllen of Bedford died earlier in the week and was buried in Eaglesville with Rev. Koeth presiding.

Joseph Antibus Dies in Bloomington After Illness
Joseph Antibus, 42, formerly of this city and longtime worker in M. B. Fisher’s Grocery and Meat Market, died Friday at his Bloomington home after a months long battle with tuberculosis. He left a wife and a 5 year old son, and was survived by his parents, two sisters, a brother, and extended family.

Death of Arthur Strange Tuberculosis Victim
Arthur Strange of East Odon died last Friday at home from tuberculosis after long illness. A son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Strange, he was 36, born in the county, and survived by his father, mother, two brothers, one sister, and many friends. Funeral services were held Sunday morning at the residence with Rev. Alford of Elnora officiating. Burial followed at Walnut Hill.

Airplane Seen Over Odon In High Speed Southern Flight
A large airplane passed over the community last Monday night four miles east of Odon. It traveled south with a slight west bearing at a high speed and was high in the sky. The aircraft was lit but had no searchlight and the number of passengers could not be determined. The roar of the propellers was faintly heard as residents telephoned neighbors to share the sight.
