Williams Dies of Pneumonia In Odon Community
W F Williams a prominent Odon resident dies at his South Spring Street home from pneumonia after influenza. Born November 29 1877 in Bogard township he leaves wife Mamie E Wade daughter Catherine Lorne three brothers a twin sister and many friends. Funeral held Sunday at 2 pm conducted by Rev Geo T Smith with burial at Walnut Hill Plant.

Miss Alta Irene Edwards and William R. Fite were married last Wednesday in Decatur Illinois by Rev Golden of the First Christian church. The bride is the daughter of Lewis Edwards of Barnett and the groom is the son of William Fite, both prominent local farmers. The couple plan to reside in Illinois after visiting relatives here.

Death Claims Floyd Eads in Elmore Township
Floyd Edwin Eads 21, of Elmore Township, died last Friday at his home from complications of influenza. Born near Washington on March 29 1897 he would have turned 22 this month. He married Jessie I Lucas on March 18 1917 and they had a son Floyd Eugene who survives with his wife. Also surviving are his parents Mr and Mrs John Eads three brothers one half brother and two half sisters. Funeral at Elnora Christian Church Sunday at 2 00 p m with Rev Shake officiating. Burial in Elnora Cemetery. Huette Poindexter wired a lighting upgrade at his store this week. Mrs Jemina Hall and son Edw Rhinehart visited in Boulder Colorado then Burns City and Scotland with relatives. Mrs Hall taught in Clarksburg fifty seven years ago. Wilfred Chandler a neighbor and former pupil recalls her as a teacher.

Brigadier General Daniel Warren Ketchem, former Madison Township native, leaves for Camp Taylor to assume command of the 34th Artillery Brigade. He studied at West Point, served on the General Staff in Washington, aided relief in London in 1914, helped defend the Eastern coast, and earned a military college diploma in France in 1918. He sailed home on the S S Finland with 5500 men and later spent time with his Philadelphia brother J M Ketchem.

Mrs. Caroline Yoder Dies of Influenza Pneumonia
Mrs. Caroline Wagler Yoder wife of Jonas Yoder near the city died last Sunday from influenza pneumonia at age 25. She was a daughter of Jacob and Mrs Jacob Wagler of Barr township. Her family has suffered multiple losses with an 18 month old son Joseph dying earlier, and another infant son dying just before. Interment was at Stoll cemetery southwest of town Monday afternoon.
