Pioneer Resident Dies in County at Cornetsville

Seth Henderson aged resident of the county died at his home near Cornetsville last Friday from a complication of diseases. Born in Ireland in 1843 he came to America at nineteen and naturalized in 1868. He married Mary Anne Johnston in 1874 and leaves five children, three surviving, plus wife, one brother, eight grandchildren. He moved to Indiana 36 years ago and lived on his farm near Otterbein. A longtime member of the United Brethren Church he served as class leader. Funeral services were held in Plainville with burial there.

Barr Township Farmer Dies in Daviess County

William Hand a well known Daviess county farmer died at his home north of Montgomery in Barr township after a five week illness from heart disease. He was born in Jackson county on February fifteenth and moved to Daviess county at age three. He is survived by his wife and nine children. Funeral services were held at the MEEL church in Plainville and burial followed in Plainville cemetery.

Big Crowd Hears Blair at Sims Garage in Ku Klux Klan Talk

Rev W D Blair spoke to a large mixed-gender audience at Sims's Garage on Monday night. The Ku Klux Klan organizer outlined Americanism and the group’s workings, holding attention for about two hours amid applause. Blair had just returned to Washington before resuming his tour.
