Former Odon Resident Dies in Centerton Indiana

Simon D. Blough age 101, born Stark County Ohio, died May 27 at his Centerton home. He married Sarah J. Resler and had eight children five predeceased their mother. Survived by two sisters and several relatives. Funeral May 29 at 2 PM conducted by Rev Pohinaemus. burial at Center cemetery.

Decoration Day Observed In Community Services

Decoration Day ceremonies were held with a GAR program at Walnut Cemetery where veterans decorated graves after prayers by Reverend H. D. Jane. Memorial services followed at area churches with participation from all denominations and a closing benediction. She was taken to her daughter Sue Alford’s home and, given her age, recovery is uncertain. Several local families and visitors are mentioned in this notice. Born in Illinois April 3 1822 she married Wm Spaulding and had ten children five survive Clara Bowman Nancy Barr Dessie Webster Jane Stuffle and Phoebe Pruett. A Baptist faithful she lived at Burns City since 1895. Funeral held from Christian church Tuesday at 1 PM Rev Robinson officiated burial in Burns City cemetery.
