Joanna E. Vickers seeks a decree of divorce from Lorenzo D. Vickers in the circuit court. She alleges cruel and inhuman treatment including threats to her life and that of their children, with residence in the area since moving from Burns City about four years ago. They married June 3, 1868 and separated January 18 of this year after years of alleged intoxication and abuse.
John Satterfield, a farmer eight miles south of town, died yesterday at 3 PM after several weeks of heart trouble. About forty years old, he was well known in Odon and formerly taught in the local schools. He was the brother in law of W EB Trueblood.

B D Smiley filed suit in the circuit court against Trustee Hiram Sigs of Van Buren Township to collect. The action seeks damages or relief related to disputed duties or payments. The case code and further details were not fully legible in the fragment.
