A Saturday night party honored Mr and Mrs P M Laughlin as they prepare to move to a farm near Arcola Illinois. Attendees included Philip Miller and family R D McCarte and son Glenn John McCarter and daughter Cleta W D McCarter Walter McCarter Pety Ledgerwood Eve Paul Mabbel Miller Grace Ketchen and Britta Ketchen. Refreshments of apples cracker jack candy and peanuts were served. The hosts regretted their departure but wished them well. Walter Garten and daughter and son Robert visited relatives then returned to Indianapolis.

Death of Harriet Eaton Boyd. Burns City widow noted
Harriet Eaton Boyd of Burns City died last Saturday morning at age 71 due to general debility after paralysis. She was born January 1 1884 in Guernsey County Ohio and married Martin Conrad, producing a daughter in that union. After his 1878 death she remarried Richard Boyd. five children survived, including Charles of Odon and Mrs Ed Christenberry, Mrs Will Denman of Indianapolis, and Waiter of Terre Haute. Edgar preceded. Funeral at Good Hope Methodist with Rev Koeth. burial Walnut Hill cemetery.

Obituary of John Stewart A Widely Respected Citizen
John Stewart of this city died Saturday afternoon from apoplexy after an illness of ten years. Born February 7, 1854 in Washington county, he married Axia Williams in 1875 and had one daughter who died in infancy. Survived by his sister Mrs. George Arney and sister Mrs. Josephine Stewart of Bicknell, he was a Methodist, Odd Fellow and Red Man. Funeral at the Methodist church with Rev. Koeth officiating.

Ephriam Collins aged sixty of Grand Rapids Michigan died on Christmas Day from paralysis his body found on the street authorities unaware of relatives. After inquiry relatives in Johnson County Indiana were located and notified. Survived by three sisters the body was shipped to Franklin for burial.
