Prof Kemp spoke at the Christian church last Wednesday on war peace and preparedness with a well attended audience. The Journal this week notes Oscar Wallick as a candidate for county commissioner from the third district. Wallick, a Madison Township farmer and long time resident, is regarded as well suited to manage local affairs.

Albert Lawrence Clark son of Mr and Mrs A M Clark of Eaglesville Daviess County Indiana and Miss Marie Stolz of Blooming Grove Indiana wed Sunday Feb 6 at the bride's home in Blooming Grove by Rev E T Lewis of the M E Church Clark principal of Blooming Grove High School and popular Franklin teacher Stolz praised as a fine community girl Emerson White and Virginia Lewis attended as best man and bridesmaid. The couple will stay in Blooming Grove to finish the school term then depart to attend the State University.

Grandma Goshorn marked her 90th birthday at her daughter Sallie Ketchem All's home. Despite illness and high water some relatives attended, including Ida Neiswanger Dr and Mrs Goshorn and D W Hayes family. She has defective hearing but keen eyesight and enjoys reading and conversation.
Miss Floy Williams entertained guests with an indoor picnic at her home on Wednesday evening. The event featured a luncheon served picnic style with attendees including Mrs. Rose Huddle, Mesdames Lane Gantz Cooper Jacobs Neeremer Breden Cole and Messrs Hayes Winklepleck Flint Kinnaman Cooper and Correll.
Rev Bulgin who has been holding a tabernacle meeting at Washington will address the people at the M E church this afternoon on temperance. The noted speaker will speak at two this afternoon and every one should hear him.
