Mrs. Mary McCord wife of Eugh McCord employed at the glass works in Loogootee collapsed and died Wednesday morning in her home. Doctors attribute heart trouble as the probable cause. She was about 23 and married about a year. She is survived by her mother Mrs. Ed Smith of Loogootee.
Sunday school begins at 9 30 a m with Joe Callahan as superintendent. Sermon at 10 30 about The Wise Men and the Star of Bethlehem. Junior service at 2 00 p m led by Mrs M Day. Cantata at 7 00 p m followed by an invitation to all. Endeavor meets Thursday at 7 00 p m.
William Edgin a longtime Odon resident and Civil War veteran died Thursday morning at six o'clock after a period of illness caused by general debility. Born June 26 1835 in Richmond Indiana he moved to Odon as a young man and married Susan Stephenson of Warsaw Kentucky on May 22 1863. He had no biological children but adopted Willis Edgin a minister at Martinsville. Funeral services will be held at the M E church today at two o'clock with interment at Walnut Hill.
Mrs. W. C. Myers and Miss Mariel Skomp of Ottawa Illinois will arrive today to spend the holidays with their parents Mr and Mrs R. C. Skomp.
