Local visits mark end of week in Willow Lick area

Paul Bowman and other residents visited relatives near Blankenship during the latter part of last week. Guests included Edna and Lola Ramsey with Mrs J A Bair in Odon, Cecil Hindman Lola Ramsey Eva Miller and Goldie Zeigler, plus trips by W L Collie and son Homer. Additional gatherings featured Zella Miller with Ed Hubbard in Farlen and Bertha Overton with Verna Sears.

Cy Davis sold Bunokum farm to Aliie Clark and moved near Terre Haute. Mr. Clark took possession Monday. Miss May Baile visits grandmother Mrs. Jane Baile. Mr. and Mrs. B. Farmer's Institute a Big Success at Elnora

The Elnora farmer's institute held Monday and Tuesday drew strong attendance from farmers and citizens. Tipton speaker A G Burkhart delivered lectures. Mrs S A Turvey spoke on The Women In The Home and P H McHenry of Washington presented Tuesday. Local residents provided music and premiums for poultry and corn were awarded, marking a grand success and notable benefit to Elmors township.

Hale Murder Trial Postponed to December 14

Judge Hougton announced that juror John O Perkins of Bogard township is too ill with rheumatism of the heart to leave his home. A physician's report says he cannot join the jury for a week or two. Trial will resume at 9 a.m. Monday, December 14, if he recovers. Jurors were told to rest at home and not discuss the case, and to sit on a different juror in the interim.
