James H Moore, a well known Kimora Township farmer, died Tuesday at his Eloora home after a period of illness at age eighty five. Born in 1833, he was one of the county's oldest citizens and survived by his second wife and nine children: Mrs. George Hodge, William H, Francia M, John, James, Thomas, Henry C, Mary, and Joseph. Funeral held Wednesday at 2 PM with burial at Fairview.

A deputy U S marshal arrested Charles Moss a city mail carrier at Linton on a charge of selling canceled stamps. Moss posted bond to appear before Judge Anderson in Indianapolis on November 25. He allegedly obtained canceled stamps removed the ink by a solution and used a canceled stamp on letters for several weeks.
Thos Wirte, a leading farmer four miles northeast of Odon, is replacing the tin barn roof with a concrete roof. This new method is a novelty for the community and drawing interest.
