Anveo will replace Gorz Faith as county surveyor Elmer Hastings succeeds L Laughlin as prosecuting attorney and Robert Barr becomes county commissioner for the First district George Godwin and Fielding Colbert will begin new terms January 1 1910 U T Holder coroner elect and Richard McDonald second district commissioner elect also start then Charles Bauta elected representative starts when legislature convenes Robert Barr takes the presidency of the county board at the January term and the incoming member becomes secretary of the board The December term marks the last meeting of the current county commissioners

Judge Floughton Rules Against Van Buren Township
Judge Floughton decided against the township of Van Buren in the suit for possession brought by Sir. Kiger and Company. The case was tried Friday afternoon and argued the next morning. Attorneys Padgite Padgett Hastings Alien etc represented the plaintiff. Hastings, Alien, and Hastings and Matt, Padgite & Myers represented the township. The property in dispute was a road grader.

The second typhoid fever death at the Diesin Reformatory occurred quickly. The victim Vaso county and Halph Akers were sent from Terre Haute on 8 1907 to serve a sentence of entire years for petit larceny. Akers home near Odon was cited in the notice from Jeffersonville Washington.
