Rules and Regulations for Transportation of School Children
Indiana guidelines from Daviess County Board of Education issued July 19 1923 for 1923 24 school year regulate school bus drivers. Drivers must be 18 or older of good character no smoking no vulgar language and keep clean. They must not substitute absent drivers without consent and ensure proper vehicle care and safe seating. Routes may be changed with consent, drivers report hazards, keep order, and deliver pupils to schools at least ten to fifteen minutes before opening.
