Residents and visitors filled Old Settlers as outings and visits dominated the week. Families from Odon Elnora Switz City and Deans shared meals with neighbors while a children’s playette drew a large crowd. Straw bailers worked near J M Toon and Elijah James as wheat threshing neared completion and roads remained muddy after rains.

He is accompanied by Congressman W A Cullop who pushed the appropriation for study and prevention. Last year losses due to the disease totaled 53000. James O Donal d nine year old son of Willard O Donal d lives east of Odon injured his foot Saturday when he stepped on a broken bottle on the picnic grounds. Dr DeMotte treated the deep cut with stitches and the boy is recovering well with no complications expected in a few days.
