The county commissioners at the Augnat session ordered repair of the Weitts hill road about four miles from the town. Estimated cost is 1600 dollars with private stations to donate and the township to cover the remainder from gravel road land. W C Garten appointed special superintendent to oversee work.
The camp meeting concluded after weeks of progress with singers finishing and attendees returning to St Louis and surrounding areas. The organization formed cottage prayer meetings to continue the work led by President Charles Pershing and officers John O'Dell Miss Mattie Sommers and Wm Rosenberry, starting at Pershing's home.
The United Brethren church schedules Sunday school at 9 30 a.m. preaching at 10 30 a.m. and 7 29 p.m. Pastor F M McCoy will lead. Mud Pike church dedication set for August 27 with an all day service and dinner on the ground. Dr H H Fout of Dayton to be the main speaker. Next week a full program will be announced.
