Mrs. Hewitt Stout awoke to find her infant daughter Hisse dead from sudden heart trouble. The coroner held an inquest in Washington, confirming natural heart ailment as the cause. The infant was interred in Burns City, with Rev. J. M. Innan presiding.
Local ball tossers known as the Ragweeds lost a tight Sunday game at South site Irk to the Grafters by 8 to 3. The contest swayed lead to lead until final outs in the ninth inning, with Grafters celebrating a narrow victory amid disputed calls and odd plays.
Mrs Eliza Summers reported five Buff Rock hens missing from her henhouse Wednesday night and again Thursday night. The birds vanished and then returned the next morning before feeding, leaving the keeper puzzled.

Crisell accuses Miller of bought clothes including a blue suit and accessories for 74 00 and of refuse to redeem. Miller says he paid four dollars and provided a hat shirt and tie. A fist fight ensues and Crisell swears out an affidavit. case to be settled in a court.
The Oden Cubs, a four teen year old team, beat an Elnora junior squad at South Side Park Saturday. The 10 to 2 score featured bright plays, Ledgerwood pitching well, Hayes solid behind the bat, and promising batters including Hans Wagner in the shade and Boyd with a two run drive to left.
Ed Reeves twenty year old at Montgomery was caught entering Ed Matthews store Friday night. Matthews had left the key in the door. Reeves unlocked it and entered the store. He was arrested and placed in Washington jail. Bond set at five hundred dollars for September term court.
The home of George Scott three miles southwest of town burned to the ground on Tuesday around noon while the family ate dinner. The kitchen roof collapsed and flames spread through the two story house before aid arrived. A small amount of furniture survived in the parlor as insurance of roughly 2000 was noted.
Miss Madge Hueston hosted a slumber party for guest Miss Magdaline Deutsch with music and games all night. A lunch was served at ten. A marriage license was issued to William Andrew Healy son of James Healy a Bogard township farmer and Frances Kidwell daughter of John A Kidwell a Bogard farmer. They wed Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at St Michael's church and will settle on his father's Bogard farm.
Elijah Fe Torex, former Daviess county auditor and Civil War veteran, died after a stair fall at Deedsena polis. He suffered a fractured skull and died at Indisuaprdiscus hospital. His death follows his crippled condition from war injuries and he leaves several children. The funeral and burial will be in Daviess county with services at Cornettsville.

Elsie Wadsworth visits home folks. Ruby Armstrong visits A W Dyal's. Amos Dungan goes to Robinson Illinois to work. Wm West Mrs Riggin and daughter Fern visit Indianapolis.
The Stout family extends gratitude for kindness and flowers received after the death of their infant Elsie P Stout. The notice states bids for a concrete bridge at Elm and Walnut streets in Qodton Indiana are due by 12 noon September 4 1911 with plans on file at the town clerk and the right to reject any or all bids.
