Pleasant Hill Church Notes on Chautauqua Program
Pleasant Hill services were dismissed early at 3 45 due to the Chautauqua program. Sunday’s services closed the Conference year and the pastor planned to travel to Vincennes next Wednesday. The church was crowded despite warm weather and Mrs. John Breden spoke about Chaplaincy in the army. Rev Koeth concluded the evening service and visitors stayed for fellowship.

Lord's Day attendance was low due to heat. Miss Miriam Smith visited from the parsonage family. Harold L. Smith received a promotion notice and heads to New York to enter radio officer school at Columbia University. The week features church services, a prohibition meeting, and Chautauqua events with no evening service next week. The conference year ends September 20 in Columbus with Bishop Mc Connell presiding. Epworth League meets Wednesday and a prayer meeting Thursday at 8 15.
