Gle resident dies former ODN boy writes from war zone
Martha Jane Sumner Odell, aged 82, longtime Gle resident, died August 12 1918 after years of invalidism. Born near Selle[s]burg Indiana November 26 1835 she married William Odell in 1854 and had three children Elizabeth Susan and William R. Survived by a sister Mrs Jane Loudermilk and a grandchild Stacy Odell funeral at residence Tuesday at 4 pm with Rev Koeth officiating, burial at Wesley Chapel.

Ministers Meet Daviess County Association at Odon Park
The Daviess County Ministerial Association met at the park Monday at 10 30 with about twenty five people including visiting ministers wives. Rev Koeth read The Literature of the Old Testament and a dinner was provided by a committee from three Odon churches. The group discusses the subject Further meeting plans defer to Plainville if no one requests otherwise. Rev Day will discuss rural church problems at the next meeting in four weeks.
