Oldest County Resident John Woodruff Dies at Home
John Woodruff known as Uncle John died at his Bogard Township home last Tuesday morning due to old age. Born August 14 1825 in Lawence county he was among the county’s first settlers and lived with his wife Anna forty three years in widowhood. He survived by eight children six sisters and many grandchildren with funeral services held at Concord church led by Rev Dyer.

JUDGED INSANE AFTER LUNACY COMMISSION
Mrs. Margaret L. Russell of near the Marsh store was adjudged insane by a lunacy commission and sent Monday to Evansville to await admission to the state hospital. Testimony revealed she has born twenty four sons, now only three living, and she has been married fifty one years.

Mrs Margaret Webster Dead Near Burns City
Mrs Margaret Webster wife of John Webster of near Burns City died Saturday noon from cancer after a years long battle. A Tennessee native who moved here during the Civil War she lived east of Burns on a farm and raised five sons and four daughters. She was seventy two and a Baptist church member. The body was laid to rest in Burns City cemetery after a Christian church service.

Funeral Services Held for Elsworth Overton at Eaglesville
Elsworth Overton died in the Newcastle sanitarium for epileptics last Thursday at age 35. The M E church in Eaglesville conducted the funeral Saturday at 10:00 AM, with Rev J W Trowbridge presiding. Burial followed in Eaglesville cemetery. He was born November 3 1881 near Odon, the fifth son of Mr and Mrs Rezia Overton. He married Belva J Malone January 1 1907 and is survived by his wife and their son Paul Owen. He had suffered epilepsy for seventeen years and spent the last five years in the Newcastle sanitarium.
