Bettas Garten Dies From Erysipelas In Odon

Jonn L Garten prominent Odon resident died at his daughter Mrs Homer Overton home in west Odon last Tuesday from Erysipelas. Born January 22 1834 in this county he was past 64. Survived by six children Mrs L Z Cooper Mrs E J Bailes Mrs J L King Mrs M H Overton G W Garten and J P Garten and three brothers. Funeral at the Christian church with Rev. Hollingsworth officiating burial at Walnut Hill.

Shower Honors Miss Ethel Cooper At Home

Miss Rose Flint and Miss Helen Gantz hosted a towel shower for Miss Ethel Cooper at Miss Gantz’s home on a Wednesday evening. Guests displayed towels on a clothes line and later gathered them as the guest of honor collected them with clothespins. Tea and wafers were served. many relatives and friends attended.
