He will train under a physical director to drive the full distance solo, after Keeton Manufacturing Company entered the race. Fox to enter Fox Special in 600 mile International Sweep Stakes
Oil operator and former racing driver Frank P. Fox plans to enter the Fox Special car he built in the third annual 600 mile International Sweep Stakes at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 30. Though not driving his own car in the 500 mile race, Fox will supervise and contribute his design ideas while Howard Wilcox drives. Fox previously gained renown for selecting Burns detective William to drive the car used in the McNamara dynamite case.
