Odessa Desk and Derrick Club formed for oil women
An October 1951 Odessa meeting launched the Desk and Derrick Club for women in oil and allied industries. Forty four of fifty one attendees became charter members, with plans for educational programs, dues, and social events. The group aims to broaden knowledge, foster mutual networks, and promote involvement in the Permian Basin oil show.
