Oil show secretary Sandy Chesshir named official for Permian Basin event
Sandy Chesshir, longtime assistant to oil show managers, is named the official secretary of the Permian Basin Oil Show. Born in Kermit and raised in Odessa, she has trained every official secretary since 1966, logs daily records, and coordinates contracts, name badges, and exhibitor schedules while managing Jay Alvey's busy calendar. She plans rest after the show and continues teaching Sunday school.
