Feds charge Aggie with Tech scam
A Bryan businessman, Robert P. Hicks, 32, was indicted on 13 counts for allegedly defrauding Bishop College in Dallas and Texas Tech Ex-Students Association in Lubbock of over 400000 through fake matching gift schemes in 1981 and 1982. He used the Hicks Foundation to funnel funds and opened endowment accounts. authorities say he obtained up to 200000 from other schools.
