Yukon Road widening plan faces landowner complaints in Odessa
Highway work along Yukon Road aims to start this September with construction by December 1986 and cost about 1.2 million for right of way and utility adjustments. Landowners like James Woods and Douglas Cunningham warn of drainage and water well contamination issues as the project would move the road nearer homes and businesses. Interstate 20 improvements from West Loop 338 east to the Ector County line are also proposed with safety features, frontage road upgrades, and signals contingent on federal funding approval.
