Budget tweak trims operating plan for 1983-84
Ector County Judge Jan Fisher and Auditor Max Wilson added 62 603 to the operating budget proposal after meetings with six department heads. They aim to keep the 34 cent tax rate with no more than a 3 cent rise if needed, lifting operating expenses from 7.37 million to 7.43 million while excluding salaries. The revised total remains 1.41 million below the 8.84 million requested in April.
